i guess next step is to figure out wtf breakfast is and how to have it. i am leaning towards yogurt and bananas for now as maximally low-prep food that doesn't make me feel bad

May I recommend eggs, any oily fish (smoked salmon is great for breakfast) and some kefir with berries?

Yeah take it out of the packet and put it on the plate and eat it
It is good with eggs and avocado

You may also find you like eg mackerel from a can but it is More Fishy while smoked salmon is somehow less Fish to deal with in the morning

cole's smoked rainbow trout is ridiculously good.
king oscar sardines are good too, though I have a mild preference for wild planet lemon and olive oil. all of wild planet's canned fish is on another level.
