i think when i sleep in it's sort of a signal to various other parts of me that i'm in depressed / weekend mode and nothing important is happening, and i've been sort of assuming the causality only goes the other way but it obviously doesn't like i can fake it till i make it

i have a big ADHD counterwill thing around waking up early i think - like i've associated it very strongly with other people (parents, school) forcing me to do things so it's good to teach myself i can wake up and continue to possess vast and boundless freedom

like "actually QC you thought sleeping in was freedom but that's not true, it turns out that freedom is freedom, and the earlier you wake up the more daylight hours you have for freedom" wild stuff

Don't underestimate the power of morning sunlight. After years of thinking I was really *not* a morning person I'm waking up without an alarm at 6-7am. It all changed when I started consistently going on a walk within an hour of waking.
