just imagine someone who's never used twitter before but they're great at sth totally different, and then they come here and they're kind of clueless about the form, the norms, etc – but it's actually really fresh and endearing, and they know so much about stuff we don't same

🥲 this place (twitter + secular world) was so overwhelming and exciting and confusing and wonderful in the beginning. being welcomed and assisted and seen and included by yall meant the world to me

i intend to pay it forward shortly after this happened, someone close to me, much younger, came to me crying during lockdown, so lonely I explained to him the potential I saw in the internet, the connections that can be made dude has like a million discord friends now
