for many kids vloggers may be the only adults in their lives who talk to them about stuff they actually care about. the kids didn’t create the societal conditions that made that possible, and neither did the vloggers

i will never know what it’s like to natively interact with the internet through video, even if i put in the reps on youtube or tiktok it’ll always be a second language at best. i do envy that i think

feels like i haven't conveyed-
you can get comparatively more fluent than everybody except the 1% of people who started native and went hard, the equivalent of Simone Biles and Victor Wooten etc. a millennial who's serious can outclass 95-98% of zoomers
