for many kids vloggers may be the only adults in their lives who talk to them about stuff they actually care about. the kids didn’t create the societal conditions that made that possible, and neither did the vloggers

like honestly, how much of this take is just millenial envy that zoomers are more comfortable seeking attention when that was something we shamed ourselves/each other for???

indeed- also oddly enough our generation fought a bunch of battles about exactly that? eg against stigma/shaming of victims of leaked nudes, against facebook photos being "unprofessional"... funny where the boundaries are

yeah it’s funny to think that we were able to resist the Gen X rhetoric of our parents to some extent but beyond that we are still unconsciously motivated to perpetuate it against the Zoomer youth

i saw a screenshot from some tweets that were like “millennials were the last generations to have real childhoods, zoomers could never” and i was so embarrassed for my generation 😩
LOL oh no the cringe of becoming old is so much worse than the cringe of being young was, no one prepared me for this
