Does the “something that it’s like to be x” framing move you? In other words, there’s something that it’s like to be QC, but not something that it’s like (presumably) to be a bottle of mouthwash?

Right, although it’s not clear whether it’s a “property” or if there’s some other way of thinking about it. Another tendentious example to probe the intuition: there is something that it’s like to be you without a foot but not something that it’s like to be you without a brain.

That might very well be true. The hard problem would then just cover mouthwash, same as it does people, though.
Why? I've never gotten why people think this. At best, it avoids the hard problem -- but even this is not obvious.
