Yes, a couple of times. It worked best when I chose a new identity and then focused on actions that help me embody that identity. You can't choose to quit something, but you can choose to become a different person who does different things.

I literally quit smoking in a week after many unsuccessful attempts when I decided I want to marry this guy and his future wife surely doesn’t smoke. We weren’t even dating at that time. Identity shift is super powerful magic.
