I love both series. Lyra is on my name list for girls if we have a girl (I know prerat will not allow this though). I really disliked Pullman's recent books though. Both he and Rowling need to learn when to let it go.

I probably would have liked them more if I didn't LOVE the original series so much. They aren't bad, I just don't love them the same (and that is a really high bar they needed to hit tbf)
