didnt occur to me to put a "yep and it was great" vs "yep and it's insane" options bc as a limerence-prone person it feels very much both, but on balance insane and miserable and seems to preclude having healthy relationships

same tbh but also that part goes mercifully dormant when i'm in a relationship 😂 it does feel like a bit of a void though? like where is the excess obsessive energy meant to go? why isnt there a healthy way to idolize another person?
Limerance is wonderful but becoming attached to it is a form of addiction. The point of limerance is to build the beginning of love, whether to romantic partners, friends or even your new baby. Once limerance wears off (6-36 mths) the hard work of building relationship begins
