the example is great but it already has a lot of depth to it hidden behind what "it is impossible to achieve something" means; how do you know it's impossible? did someone tell you and you took it on faith or have you actually tried? seen other people try? etc

Yes… this is from Iddo Landau’s book, which is generally excellent but interestingly slightly specific to Israeli culture, which is apparently hypercompetitive and perfectionistic.
The things he’s referring to are unambiguously impossible for anyone short of God.
