Hmm, I am among the minority on both polls.
I suspect that may be because polls, by their very nature, lack nuance.
I feel that the way we went about both the ag rev and the industrial rev was deeply flawed due to lack of foreknowledge of resultant eco., social, and psych impact
I feel like once we ensnared ourselves in the agriculture "luxury trap," there was no turning back.
But the industrial revolution saves us from endless back breaking toil agricultural toil. It's a necessary improvement.
Agriculture = possibly a mistake, industry = no way.
I voted m|y m|n
I think it more of comes down to whether or not you think the industrial revolution was essentially the beginning of a mass extinction event. Looking at atmospheric carbon content, it's pretty irrefutable exactly WHEN it got out of hand
If you think that the industrial revolution sparked a mass extinction event, and you DONT think that constitutes a mistake, I have very serious questions about your moral system.
"You" used in general terms here
feels like this train of discourse is wrapping up but i just had the stray thought that answers might vary more along class lines than gender divides
this might also kinda track with “are you a hippie” though lol
