People with autoimmune disorders tend to have gluten sensitivity and low vitamin D. Probably both depend on cofactors.

gluten sensitivity would imply reduced intake of vitamin D in enriched food (fairly common)—but for the most part vitamin D deficiency comes from reduced, safer sun exposure

Mind of I ask what prompted this question? I probably don't get enough sun now and I'm moderately gluten intolerant, wasn't an issue when I was a kid and spent hours outside every day e.g lunchtime at school. So it might be relevant to me
