there is (as far as i've been able to find, anyway) a surprisingly short list of art of any kind that seriously grapples with the experience of being online and i like Gamer for that reason alone

for my money ‘s “the communal mind” is one of the best things anyone’s ever written about Being Online; she has a book covering similar material but i haven’t read it yet
