if you don't respond to a jury summons in 10 days you "may be subject to a fine and/or imprisonment." ok but what happens if you're gone for 2 weeks? you get back from the beach and they're like "welp jail for you, buddy"

nothing happens, i know i've missed jury summons at least once minimum

thanks. yeah I figured, nobody cares about anything anywhere. but the wording on the forms makes it seem like they're going to find you and kill you

i think nobody in the relevant bureaucracies has the resources to do this, for better or worse
