Okay, I'm another oven 350 person, but I am going to try the frying pan/steam method. However I will throw in a curve: fried eggs on top (usually this becomes breakfast and I eat with flatware)

Okay, I have actually been known to put vegan bacon on this as well, fwiw -- I'm mostly not-doing pork these days but sometimes need the salty crunchy -- it is a good iteration, but I'll basically turn any leftover carb into a breakfast food with eggs, so.....

I do this with rice and/or quinoa all the time too -- steel-cut oatmeal is a nice, slightly more porridgey rendition that I particularly love, but honestly can see that it's not for all -- I guess I could do a congee too, though....
