well there are stories where jesus drives spirits out of lepers of whatever right? (i have never read the bible)
DID sufferer nicknamed Legion is probably whom you’re thinking of…also was a physically imposing person, would’ve been a natural target for occupying forces looking to make an example.
But there were also some lepers whose infection was long passed, quarantined by superstition.

But yes, I Corinthians 12 or so talks in practical terms about pooling individual participants’ capabilities to embody a shared identity, including a funny explanation that assholes are necessary.
