it's funny, terranigma is my literal #1 favorite game of all time but i've never played chrono trigger or secret of mana

chrono trigger is still worth playing now i think. the whole thing is shockingly pretty. combat is lots of fun. character development is great. plot is serviceable. the ~time travel~ also has some fun mechanics associated with it

there's only one bit i really feel like aged poorly and it's a minigame towards the beginning
ha yeah. it must've looked a lot cooler in 1995 but now it's just awkwardly incongruous with the rest of the beautiful graphics, plus annoying. i feel similarly about the airship in FF6
