i knew MIT had a nuclear eng program but it didn't occur to me until yesterday to check and, yes, MIT also has a reactor, "the second largest university research reactor in the U.S. and the only one located on the campus of a major research university" and i never visited 😔

Reminds me: Legend is that students at one Finnish university liked, just for fun, to push the parameters of their research reactor to the point where an emergency shutdown would kick in. Until the country's radiation & nuclear safety agency told them to please stop doing that.
