the scoring system is really not what i’m used to. more points for unusual words means most of the score is decided by random-ass archaic words that just happen to be in webster’s or whatever their wordlist is coming from. but i don’t find the longest word even when it’s normal

getting better at longest word, can match it when i get lucky although i haven't beaten it yet. i get stuck in actually a very similar way i used to get stuck on math competitions - i see a word i can almost spell and it distracts me from considering new options

when the word is really long it's usually not hard to spot either the prefix or the suffix, de-, re-, -ing, -tion, so forth. but surprisingly tricky for me to backsolve from a suffix, not used to it. getting better!

if you memorize all the short rare words in whatever stupid wordlist they're using you can rack up a lot of points pretty quickly that way. i am refusing to do this for now

i hadn't thought of scripts but that's a possibility. they might also just all be really good. i really don't know
