the scoring system is really not what i’m used to. more points for unusual words means most of the score is decided by random-ass archaic words that just happen to be in webster’s or whatever their wordlist is coming from. but i don’t find the longest word even when it’s normal
I BEAT THE LONGEST WORD BY 5 LETTERS

getting better at longest word, can match it when i get lucky although i haven't beaten it yet. i get stuck in actually a very similar way i used to get stuck on math competitions - i see a word i can almost spell and it distracts me from considering new options

when the word is really long it's usually not hard to spot either the prefix or the suffix, de-, re-, -ing, -tion, so forth. but surprisingly tricky for me to backsolve from a suffix, not used to it. getting better!

i beat the average score for the first time i think. getting better at spotting suffixes, i actually spotted -cizing and backformed from there pretty quickly

You're not kidding... I just tried a game and my highest individual words were TAS, NUR, DAS, and TES, none of which I even recognize as words usable in general english.
