sort of the same thing again but adapted specifically to this case: it's not loving or compassionate to let other people's shadows control you. you can demonstrate your own freedom from their shadow and maybe it'll help them see that they can be free too
like, here's a case i expect you feel relatively unconflicted about: you're probably pretty comfortable rejecting a dude even if you've determined that somehow they've got a lot of ego wound up in sleeping with you or whatever right? it's like that but with everyone

if you don't want to sleep with the dude it wouldn't be kind to either of you to force yourself to do it anyway to avoid hurting their feelings. you'd both have a bad time and you're sort of enabling them to stay trapped in an egoic illusion about the nature of sex

oh, also, the world is very big and if other people get triggered by you doing the stuff you really want to do then you can just be further apart. that bit is actually important too
