the real measure of a Twitter account is the quality of conversation in the mentions

don't forget the quality of conversations in the DMs tho
Also if you only ever see replies from people you follow then you're largely immune I guess, though you're likely to miss the good folks you don't follow
unless they chat to other good folks you do follow and you see all that
