when you're angry about something you actually have no power to change (eg the past) it's natural for it to give way to grief as you acknowledge that powerlessness. but sometimes you *do* have power
sometimes you're sad and scared about a present situation you actually have the power to improve (shitty job, shotty relationship, w/e) and that can give way to anger that gives way to action as you exercise your power
