any of y'all who do a lot of therapy-type stuff or meditation-type stuff find that you've become more sensitive to alcohol (in a bad way)? other foods too maybe?

i tried drinking a few shots of whiskey a month or so ago for the first time in awhile and it was just awful. didn't really get buzzed and my body felt like i was poisoned for days afterwards. the set and setting weren't particularly good though idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I can no longer tolerate alcohol at all and I've become more and more sensitive to foods as I've aged.
Not sure how much of that is due to general mindfulness stuff though, might just be age

when you say you can’t tolerate alcohol, what’s your experience? nausea or?

I think perhaps I am more aware of the adverse effects. I am not sure it is in a bad way. Alcohol is a harsh drug.

I don't know if I've become more sensitive to it or that by gaining access to my feelings I've become more aware of my body

yeah i meant to fold that into "sensitive," wasn't quite the right word. like "do you notice alcohol fucking you up more (in the bad way)"
