maybe girls crying more means they’re actually processing their emotions (instead of repressing them), hence higher emotional intelligence

yeah. i think trans women report that transition causes them to cry more easily and have more access to emotion, and trans men the reverse; the trans folk around here could say more than i could of course ( you mentioned having this really strongly right?)
yes! I am not sure if the factors involved were primarily testosterone/estrogen, incorrect alignment / correct alignment, or simply living in fear / living in self-expression, but I could quickly feel in such resolution and intensity that crying came easily

Huhh. This is plausible too! When I exercise hard (which AFAIK raises testosterone), I feel less physically sad after. And when I don’t have a cycle (mirena coil), ditto—I’m much more emotionally stable.
I still think there’s an ideas thing happening rather than just bio tho

ACTUALLY NO this can't be all it because children cry more than adults (or at least more than men), and they seem to do like 'the right amount of crying', and this is before they develop weird chemicals messing with them
chemicals could inhibit but my guess is mostly culture

PMS type hormones definitely triggers weird emotions tho, not discounting chemicals—just wanna see how cultural/ideological influences emotional landscape (and figure out what's the best one)
