also seems to me based on that thread that your parents do love you an awful lot

also yeah bring your kids to work so they understand what kind of labor is keeping them alive that seems pretty good parenting-wise

my parents just spent 40 years pretending to be broke while socking away just about every cent they earned. i had no idea until my dad nearly died unexpectedly and they walked me through their will when I flew into town
