Curious from bigger accounts how their twitter experience is different now compared to when they were < 5000

like count becomes a weirder signal, more about "virality" even in a mild sense and less about the quality of the tweet in some abstract sense. i can usually predict which of my tweets will get a lot of likes but no RTs because they aren't "viral" in the right way
i had to turn off notifications from non-follows at some point so now i can only see non-follow replies if i search for them which makes my experience a bit more insular. non-follow replies have decreased in average quality which is annoying :/

i bet things will get worse once i hit 10-15k which is part of why i hope to never hit 10-15k but the followers keep coming so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ if it gets bad enough i literally might restart with a new account

Wait... People actually care how many likes or rts they get, even after having real careers? 😱😱🤣😂

i don't have a real career 😅 i use it as a (very noisy) way to gauge how much sense i'm making or how much people relate to what i'm saying. DMs are a much better but much sparser signal. replies are sort of in between
