Getting out of bed happened pretty smoothly after I started just saying "I'm lying in bed. I'm lying in bed. I'm lying in bed." 🤔 I don't use this trick nearly often enough.

i need to pee, i feel hungry, i want to shower, i haven’t showered today, it is 2:48pm, i am showering, i am wiping myself dry with a towel, i am thinking about my taxes, i am thinking about going for a walk to get food

from a PCT pov the key combination is awareness of present state + awareness of desired future state, so you can feel the difference between them; according to PCT this is the source of motivation (meaning that PCT solves the is-ought problem!!!)

in this previous thread i had a small breakthrough about awareness of desired future state but it was incomplete w/o awareness of present state. may still be incomplete, will see
