hmm should I stop qualifying every opinion I ever express with "idk" "maybe" "just spitballing" 1) no humility is good, this models that uncertainty is normal and ok and invites collaborative development thru disagreement 2) yes you have internalized misogyny and are being a baby

i go back and forth on this. internalized misogyny (among other things) could be a meaningful contributor, and/but also tho:

I've seen people say "you shouldn't bother say 'I think' in your tweets. obviously everything you say is something you're thinking. keep your tweeting simple and clear." there's a Seeing Like A State aspect to this. if your tweets are too perfect, people forget you're a person

yea I can’t meaningfully comment on the additional challenge of being a woman online, but I can reaffirm that coming across as Polished leads to undesirable outcomes. The sort of clever trick (I think! 😂) is to be assertive/confident in action while reminding ppl ur a person
