it’s fucked up that ~99% of the stories i read about men hitting on women are stories of male celebrities getting metoo’d. idk where i’m supposed to be getting role models and positive examples from. any women wanna tell us about a time a man hit on them and they liked it?

I'm not sure what you mean by "hitting on," because the times I can think of where I actively enjoyed it, it was in the context of a semi-flirtatious rapport already
exceptions being a few absurd drunken passes, which were funny and charming but *not* enticing

"Hitting on" sounds like someone making a pass without testing the waters by flirting first, but that might not be what you mean
I think of it as a dramatic escalation of interest and I usually don't find really dramatic escalations enticing at all. neutral or flattering, sure

oh weird. for me "hitting on" just means "flirting." i guess linguistically it makes it sound more one-way and less two-way?
For me "hitting on" is more a dumb flirt joke and not flirting.Fl. contains being interested in the other, showing respect and only continue if the other reciprocates (ie laughs, answers texts, asks questions etc)I'm married to a huge nerd and he did well, so there's always hope :D
