I don't know, it just has a very incorrect feeling about it - something too loose and chaotic

for me it's the abstraction of the person from the functions of their environment but i feel like a broken record 🙃

Ultimately, the person who wants something done is not the primary acting force. On aggregate, you learn you don't need to act upon the world to make things happen. I don't believe people "will just gain new skills and learn stuff" - they learn from the work that needs to be done

do you also feel this way about uh like taking a bus or riding a train or plane?

they do but they shouldn't
i have my own reservations w self-driving cars (they'll never work. just that.) but if they'd exist i'd use them all the time

Not the same, you're actively interacting with your environment (or someone is) in these scenarios
