probably nothing to do to prepare really. know as many people as possible in case something bad happens. people are more useful in a disaster than just about anything else.

yeah ok so here's how this goes. if you're lucky there will be a military base near your city. in a mass nuclear strike, those get hit first, with submarine missiles. this is an early warning, as the blast will blow your windows out. you have fifteen minutes at that point.

QC, years before that happens, find your community and take care of it. Hard to survive a war on your own when it comes knocking. Have doors in places you can knock and know they will open.
