when i kissed a woman who smelled really really good to me for the first time i was able to smell a slight metallic smell and apparently that was also a period thing. it didn’t smell bad that time though. more like it added a jazz note to her smell. mysteries

As a teen, I started noticing a periodic change in attraction to my gf, so I kept logs for a while and found that I was especially attracted to her (smell, voice, looks) when she was likely ovulating
Unfortunately, studies I’ve seen which claim to replicate this are weak, so idk

Smell itself is still pretty poorly understood thanks to O(hundreds) of different chemoreceptors
Would you say you have a fairly acute sense of smell, or that smell is important to how you be in the world? That’s definitely true for me
