the youtube recommendation algorithm really does not understand how i get obsessed with things at all. it's been serving me videos based on stuff i liked literally years ago and i had to hunt for them in my liked videos to get rid of them

you should be able to click the dotted arrows below the video and then click "not interested" to reduce being recommended similar videos

but part of the thing is it's contextual - what i actually want to tell youtube is "not interested in the current obsession cycle"
