in middle school i used to volunteer at the library with a girl i thought was cute and/but sometimes she smelled bad and i never knew how to talk about it. it was a very specific smell i have since smelled like ~10 other times, always on women

This sure sounds like period smell, yeah. I usually can't smell it on other ppl unless we're hugging or something? Totally plausible explanation

hm it's strong enough that i can smell it from several feet away, like i'd describe the magnitude of the smell as comparable to a fart. and i don't think i have an unusually good sense of smell otherwise. some other ppl have said it might be bacterial or like a yeast infection?

the one time i smelled a thing that i confirmed with the relevant woman was period-related it was faint and metallic and not bad, and this smell i'm talking about was not faint and not metallic. like... rotting almost? i really have no words for it
