when i kissed a woman who smelled really really good to me for the first time i was able to smell a slight metallic smell and apparently that was also a period thing. it didn’t smell bad that time though. more like it added a jazz note to her smell. mysteries

As a teen, I started noticing a periodic change in attraction to my gf, so I kept logs for a while and found that I was especially attracted to her (smell, voice, looks) when she was likely ovulating
Unfortunately, studies I’ve seen which claim to replicate this are weak, so idk

Most of what makes someone smell good/attractive is supposedly immune-related (MHC)—I’d be real interested in some way to get that analysed, because I found partners’ smell merely pleasant until one particular relationship where we found each other *overwhelmingly* good-smelling
