fyi i am personally very uncomfortable with all the recent focus on asian-american racism or whatever. it smells manufactured somehow? i can't believe i've become this paranoid but i assume it's only happening now because someone in power decided it was in their interest now

All such things are manufactured. Few reasons why. First, tension with China is creating real problems for asian-Americans (harassment etc), and US elite doesn't actually want them pushed away to China's embrace.

Second, overt anti-asian discrimination in schools and exclusion from "POC" categorization pushes Asians away from progressive coalition. Need a way to divide Asians from whites, reattach to progressive coalition, and implicitly to America in America vs China.
