A thing I'm perpetually frustrated and confused by is how growth communities hold rage, hatred, resentment, and greed

These emotions are all natural responses to trauma (in the past) and to thwarted attainment of needs (in the present)

Yet much more so than grief, these "dark" emotions seem to send people running the other way as fast as humanly possible. And when they don't run, they often do something possibly worse: invalidate, or demand (?) an alternate expression

What gives? I dunno! Two possibilities:
- "Dark" emotions fine, actually. Just too hard for almost anyone to hold with skill, so demonized ~universally.
- "Dark" emotions dangerous, actually. People rightly demand they be transmuted into grief before connection

Probably lots of possibilities I haven't thought of yet, including superpositions of these two.

A lot of what I've encountered on my healing journey looks more like this stuff than it does like grief. It seems like I'm encouraged to see this as "not having gone deep enough yet," and/but there's a weird thing

Is grief "deeper" than rage [et al]? Why? It definitely feels more expansive and less stuck, so that does point to it perhaps being "inherently better" at least for release/growth/eudaimonia

Still, I wish other people running containers purporting to be spaces of being-with-things-as-they-really-are and ESPECIALLY people offering healing and growth support would facilitate connecting with the "dark" bois more skillfully

Replying to
they’re inherently more dangerous and that’s good actually
power is dangerous and will is dangerous
Replying to
YES, I love this! Danger is inseparable from power. Power inseparable from danger.
