i was avoiding doing this but now i'm trying to categorize the songs into major and minor to see patterns some of them seem genuinely ambiguous tho, if you never resolve to tonic could go either way 🧐

A lot of pop and rock music are modal, rather than major or minor - and some move through different modalities as well. Really different moods, once you start to recognise them.

The phrygian "vibe" comes from that repeated semi-tone drop down to the tonic, like it can't get away
