Those both seem good for some cases, tho they feel like they commit me to more than I want to say" A lot of times I don't know where the line between it being "about the person/situation" vs. not is

i mean it's tricky, the thing you want to say just doesn't have a short and widely-understood name other than "triggered" so you have to go into weird amounts of detail depending on how much shared context with whoever you're talking to

Yeah, definitely. Part of what I'm psyched about here is that maybe there could be pithy-but-not-too-context-heavy ways to at least gesture at the thing

I communicate a ton with people who aren't into this stuff the way we are, or are but do it pretty differently, and I'm looking for ways to tell them about my state when I get upset in a trauma-y way
