combining the last two thoughts, i wish quaid had been played by someone who could sell the ambiguity of the ending. someone more neurotic or more of a daydreamer. could’ve added lines describing how it all turned out exactly like the package: blue sky, aliens, girl of his dreams

huh, i just reread the original pkd short story. it is actually *less* ambiguous than the movie which i really did not expect. never thought i’d be disappointed in a pkd story for not being enough of a mindfuck 😅
