I've seen too many of my well-meaning friends share this. This is BAD. very bad. College is not trade school. Republicans want college to be glorified trade school and it's BAD. Broad, general education that focuses on how to think and how to learn is significantly better.

college *classes* taught me mostly a bunch of math and otherwise basically nothing i still use today college outside of class taught me a bunch of social stuff like how to throw parties, how to lead drunk karaoke, v important life skills

insofar as i ever learned "how to think" in a classroom it was in middle school in a gifted program. i was never worked as hard intellectually in high school or college as i was in middle school and i seriously mean that

besides math, did you generally like to learn the things you did in college? a lot of what I remember hearing from my peers was complaining about how they’ll never use what they learn in real life but even if it’s not relevant, I’ve secretly thought it’s all fascinating 🙈🤓
