a twitter account that apparently no longer exists recommended that i read this book which is very mysterious and appropriate. i am gripped. i am more than halfway through and it is extremely difficult to stop myself from reading. i am haunted. it is expanding my mind a bit

i want to minimally spoil it but if you like uhhh stories that go really meta on the act of telling a story this might be your jam. like borges and shit. won't really know how good it is until the ending tho, the ending could really make or break the whole thing. i'm optimistic

it's like expanding my conception of what you can do with a story. the tweet i linked to is from a threat of recommendations of other (internet) stories many of which also do that!

hmm okay thread: some of my favorite pieces of internet fiction, in no particular order, with brief blurbs. several of these i like for "meta" reasons, like they expanded my conception of what a story could look like twitter.com/DaltonDEmery/s…

Fun fact: he’s John Le Carre’s son and his first book (The Gone-Away World) is also incredible and probably you’ll find philosophically interesting (what happens to people when they’re part of a machine) I wrote my final school essay on it!
