do you have a foam roller and do you ever lie with it under the side of your neck and rock gently? this saves my life

maybe in the garage or something. i'm pretty pessimistic about massage-based techniques for dealing with this shoulder stuff. i think i know what triggered it and it's very emotional. it used to happen only when i was meditating and at no other time
FWIW sometimes massage-based techniques kinda help "dislodge" emotional content stored in the body, sounds like it could be worth a shot

yeah, QC, for me they are nonseparate. there is something about breathing through and softening into the discomfort, and then resting quietly after. just a suggestion!

ive been trying to do these every day. seems to help my shoulder flexibility a lot, make it easier to dislodge tension. start with as wide a grip as possible and work narrower
