as a control system twitter does not give you any active way to make a topic of discourse smaller. you can only ignore it or make it bigger. you canāt, like, cancel out other peopleās likes and RTs. downvotes wouldnāt really accomplish this either. ādisinformationā streisands

A friend of mine said this was his least favorite part of twitter, and that he wished you could downvote things, like on reddit. Why don't you think that would help? Wouldn't it keep people from dogpiling if they could disapprove silently?
