still misses queers; i feel like there were a lot of cultures with queer ppl in a sort of scared/priesthood role but they aren't even a common cultural artifact anymore even though they were a pretty common thing ;;

some native american tribes had something like that; some asian cultures; shinto I think; some of the roman/greek gods had queer priests/priestesses; some of the pagan stuff too -- it shows up in a lot of places tbh
