is focusing, IFS and coherence therapy like...... the same thing from different angles? trying to trigger the same mechanism for "self-healing" in different ways?

IFS slots neatly into the general UtEB framework of transformative therapies imo, you can map out how it does memory reconsolidation. focusing i feel like i understand less well and think it is doing something potentially different or like at a different level of abstraction?

I've just started trying to figure out focusing and to me it really feels similar to IFS but also kind of different..?... it's similar in a sense that by really feeling through smth and giving words to it, it makes it unstuck, lets it flow...

yeah for sure but gendlin makes a point of clarifying that felt senses aren’t just feelings and i don’t think they’re even schemas. they’re like... more gestalt maybe? he talks about “the whole thing” and stuff
