What could you teach a class of college students about for an hour or so with no preparation at all?

once i taught a class called “introduction to leadership” where i just wrote that title on the board then sat down and did nothing and waited for them to improvise the class for each other

I had a less wrong dojo where someone did something similar to that. To be fair I didn't listen to his preamble but where he just stopped talking and waiting for us I just mentally checked out.

they were teenagers they loved it they had huge amounts of energy *plus*, very conveniently, they'd gotten a 3-hour improv class a few days before

ah yes, high school: when anything which isn't "you must sit at your desk all day*" is the most precious nectar a teacher could give you
* as long as it is not PE where you're forced to demonstrate your bad physical health and accuracy

also relevant that this was on day 3 of the program or something so they'd already bonded somewhat. LW dojo just a completely different social environment in so many ways. i would not have tried something like this there w/o an easier preliminary bonding activity first
