I'm working and haven't read this full thread yet but just wanted to pop by to say that my experience of music in general shifted drastically and really positively when I made songs about feelings instead of about people.

Love songs don't sour for me anymore, don't cause heartache- because they're not about loving any one person, they're just about experiencing that feeling of sort of universal love in the moment 😄
