had three different dreams the past month about flirting with women but various obstacles preventing us from going much farther than that, very mysterious, what could my subconscious possibly be trying to tell me 🧐

the obstacles were, in order,
1) looking for a room to make out but couldn't find one
2) driving to a nice place to get dinner but getting lost
3) had a lovely welcome dinner at some kind of boarding school but had to fly home afterwards
idk how to do dream symbolism 🧐

this is sort of a boring observation but all of the obstacles have to do with "place" which is uhhh y'know, topical, times a-bein' what they are

the obstacles are probably either lockdown or my attachment issues and it's genuinely a toss-up 🧐

what were the obstacles?
why do you think those were the things that seemed to get in your way?

Maybe it means you’re willing but not as willing or open to the idea as you thought.

I have noticed this as well!!!
I was surprised just how deliberately this silent antagonist would obscure reality to restrain me.
I haven't experienced any kind of internal conflict so obviously in any other dream context

I actually came to the conclusion that it was a nocturnal emmission defense mechanism. Because realistically if your imagination goes buck wild that's what can happen.
That said, it was strange to experience my own brain be in such an obvious conflict with itself

hmmm I recently had a dream where I finally made out with the girl I'd had a crush on for most of elementary & middle school
but I kinda knew it was a dream while it was happening, & I was half-expecting her to fade into ephemeral nothingness and for me to be embracing nothing

I think your subconscious is just trying to tell you that in dreams typically everything fails.
